Summary: Abstract: This is a comparative study on the different factors affecting the medical school performance of medical technology and non - Medical Technology graduates among the year students of FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine. In this study subjects were selected with the use of stratified sampling. A total of 100 subjects were use and divided into 2 groups (1) Medical Technology (50) and (2) Non-Medical Technology group (50). Two sets of data were gathered one from the office of the registrar and the other from the questionnaires that were given to the subjects. The general weighted average of the two groups were computed and were subjected to t-test. Data taken from questionnaires contained questions regarding study habits, sleep patterns and extra-curricular activities. These data were calculated and corresponding percentages computed. The G.W.A. of the Med tech group has a mean of 2, 337 as compared to 2.806 of Non- Medical Technology group which is statistically significant. In the second group of the data gathered thru questionnaire, we used the z-test. This failed to show any significant difference in the study habits, sleep patterns and extra-curricular activities between the two groups.
