Summary: Abstract: The key step in providing optimum care of patients was the use of scientific evidences as guide for clinical decision making. Adherence to guidelines based on scientific evidences result to better outcome of the patients. This study focuses on how adherent is the Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Unit in the PARM CPG of lower extremity rehabilitation of status post CVA patient. It is necessary to know the adherence because it is an established standard to be followed by a rehabilitation clinic. Furthermore this study might help the FEU-NRMF PTRU in improving the quality of rehabilitation that they are offering since PARM CPG is formed an evidenced based practice. This is retrospective cross sectional descriptive study. The investigators reviewed the charts of status post Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) patients admitted as an outpatient at a time frame of 2014-2016. The study focused more on the lower extremity management. A total of 28 patients charts with initial evaluation and regular attendance to PT treatment out of 142 charts were included in the study with the following criteria: (1) 20-85 years old (2) diagnosed with status post Cerebrovascular Accident; and (3) underwent physical therapy services in Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Unit. All data gathered were then compared to the recommendations established by the PARM Clinical Practice Guideline. Data were organized tallied, and presented through appropriate graphs and tables. Among the twelve (12) managements of status post Cerebrovascular Accident focusing on lower extremity that was endorsed by Philippine Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine eight (8) or 66.67% managements were practiced by FEU-NRMF PTRU namely the gait raining, PRE's, FES, Treadmill, virtual reality (Wii, Xbox), lower extremity restorator, ROME task specific exercises and only four (4) or 33.33 managements were not seen being practiced namely the EMG biofeedback serial casting, positioning, and aquatic therapy. Results from the study showed a proportion of 66.67% (8 out of 12 managements) adherence of FEU-NRMF PTRU to the total treatment guidelines recommended by PARM.
