ABSTRACT: "Silip Dumi, Zero Bulate" is a free screening and deworming activity. An action program conducted at Sitio Republic, Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City. The proponents of this programme were the barangay officials and its respective purok leaders and the Junior Interns of Far Eastern University- Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Institute of Medicine, August-September, 2000. Its objective is to assess the level of awareness of the respondents regarding the nature, prevention and management of intestinal parasitism and to facilitate treatment to participants aged 2-7 years old who are for positive for intestinal parasitism. The program was initiated with a survey about the common problems in the community, which were ranked according to saliency and importance. The group chose intestinal parasitism because given the resource available, it is the most feasible program that can be successfully accomplished.
