Online resources: Summary: ABSTRACT: The issue of extreme weight gain is a major concern in society, and people are using various methods to maintain a healthy weight, including low-calorie diets and intermittent fasting. The effectiveness of these two methods in reducing body weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has been the subject of debate. Thus, the objective of this study is to determine if there is a significant difference between the two dietary methods, namely low-calorie diet and intermittent fasting, and to identify which one is more effective among. Researchers employed mixed-methods using ex-post facto for quantitative analysis to compare weight loss effectiveness and phenomenological research for qualitative exploration of respondent experiences with the diets. The data were gathered from 63 youths aged 16 to 24 from Quezon City's 5th District and were divided into two groups: 33 for low-calorie diet and 30 for intermittent fasting. Additionally, four students who followed both diets were interviewed for qualitative analysis. The issue of extreme weight gain is a major concern in society, and people are using various methods to maintain a healthy weight, including low-calorie diets and
intermittent fasting. The effectiveness of these two methods in reducing body weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has been the subject of debate. Thus, the objective
of this study is to determine if there is a significant difference between the two dietary methods, namely low-calorie diet and intermittent fasting, and to identify which one
is more effective among. Researchers employed mixed-methods using ex-post facto for quantitative analysis to compare weight loss effectiveness and phenomenological
