Summary: ABSTRACT: The advanced practice nurse (APN) handles patient from specialty care units like intensive care unit-critical care unit (ICU-CCU) and operating room (OR). They have handled patients who are in critical condition or has life threatening situation, the additional training help them handle the situation calmly and confidently. The advanced practice nurses (APN) are very responsible because all the patients they have handle are in the worst condition or life threatening situation, they keep in mind one single mistake can cause a life. They are always calm for example when a patient had a heart attack they will come up a solution to help the client survive. They always follow proper precaution before handling the patient to prevent the patient from exposure to microorganisms and to protect themselves as well.
