Summary: Abstract: A preliminary survey was conducted July 1993 to determine the level of awareness of medical students in the first, second and third year levels of the FEU-NRMF as to their level of knowledge, attitude and practice of the Herbal medicines being promoted by the department of Health. The results revealed that the level of knowledge, attitude and practices have to be enhanced. There was also a felt need among the respondents to promote the use of the said Herbal Medicines. Due to these reasons, the 3E Action Group came up with an action program that addressed these problems. The program consisted of a room to room campaign, poster making contest, promotional posters and an exhibit. A post evaluation conducted to assess the outcome of the program revealed that there was a significant increase in the level of knowledge and an enhancement of the positive attitudes of the subjects of this program.
