Summary: ABSTRACT: This comparative study has been pursued with an inspiration of finding out an effective and efficient approach that can address hamstring muscle tightness, with a hope that this may entice experts in the field of Physical Therapy to investigate further study and develop the underlying conceptFor the purpose of this study, 2 blinded groups have been assessed using a sole assessment tool before they underwent separate treatment technique to gather initial baseline and re-evalution data for an increased reliability of the results. No randomization for this study was done. Each participant was taken with a basis from the inclusion criteria made. Through this comparative study, the understanding and difference of the Post-Isometric Relaxation (PIR) and Traditional Stretching will be established. This study will provide essential benefits to patients - application of effective treatment; to medical industry - conservation of resources in developing and advancing treatment; to health practitioners - use of an effective effort in treatment; and to researchers - a proper basis for further studies in treating hamstring muscle tightness.
