ABSTRACT: According to Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, 40% of Washington State Fund worker's compensation are among office workers that have Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSD's). It means that the employee may take longer time to be able to return to work, resulting in loss of salary and increase in medical bills. Application of ergonomic principles is most effective in preventing the development of an injury that ca lead to decrease in worker's compensation claims.
