Summary: Abstract: Three hundred eleven high school students of Ramon Magsaysay High School selected using non- probability sampling. underwent a QUASI- experimental sampling regarding their level of knowledge and awareness to HIV AIDS infection and its prevention through symposium. A pre-screened questionnaires given in pre and post- test were given to determine if there is an increase in the level of awareness. Data analysis on HIV / AIDS awareness was based on correctness of the response against the set perfect score of 36/36 (100%). The pre-test elevation showed 50.17 % baseline knowledge such as definition, modes of transmission, prevention, and sources of information. The post- test evaluation revealed an increase of awareness by 20.06% (from 50.17% to 70.23 %). Z test statistics one t- tailed was used to determine if the increase in the level of awareness of HIV/AIDS is significant or not. Level of significance (a) of 0.05 and critical region of z > 1.645 ( or z < -1.645 ) were used. Results showed that z = 0.043 fall in the region of acceptance. Therefore, the increase in the level of awareness in HIV/AIDS among 4th year high school students of Ramon Magsaysay High School is significant.
