Summary: Abstract: Our country has the fastest-growing Human Immunodeficiency syndrome or also known as HIV Epidemic in the Western Pacific (Gangcuangco, 2019) As the result, HIV tests are significant in the diagnosis for person who have Human Immunodeficiency Virus (WHO, 2019). And for that reason, the main purpose of this review is to compare the rapid HIV test kits used in Point-of-Care Testing facilities in the Philippines. The methods were based on the PRISMA Guidelines. The studies were carefully chosen from databases, and reference list based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, which included the four factors of sensitivity, specificity, turnaround time and cost the findings of each variable were calculated using the total average, mean and confidence interval and are presented in tables. There were 56 publications reviewed with 18 articles on HIV test kits used in the Philippines. In the overall evaluation of the diagnostic accuracy of the three HIV test kits, all the three test kits showed high specificity while slight disparities in terms of sensitivity. SD Bioline Ag-Ab HIV Cassette has a total average of sensitivity and specificity of 96.67% and 98.80%. Accordingly, the Alere Determine HIV ½ test has a result of 76.18% and 99.40% while the Geenius HIV ½ Confirmatory Assay Kit has 95.43%and 97.89%. In terms of the total average for the turnaround time, the SD Bioline Ag-Ab HIC Cassette has an average of 17 minutes, the Geenius HIV 12 Confirmatory Assay Kit is 23 minutes, and the Alere Determine HIV ½ is 28 minutes. For the cost of the three test kits based locally (DOH), the SD Bioline Ag-Ab HIV Cassette is worth Php 50, the Alere Determine HIV ½ test kit is Php 150, and the Geenius HIV ½ Confirmatory Assay Kit is worth Php 1,500. SD Bioline Ag-Ab HIV Cassette is the most ideal test kit since it has the highest diagnostic accuracy and lowest turnaround time and cost.
