Summary: ABSTRACT: The Battery Examination is the qualifying exam of all the nursing students of FEU-NRMF in able to continue their studies in this institution it is also a way of filtering the qualified students. In this examination, each examiner are needed to perform satisfactory in able to pass and certain preparation and techniques involving study habits have to be conducted to greatly increase the chance of passing such a difficult test. Certain techniques in studying are proved to be effective and serve as the weapon of those who succeed this exam. These techniques in studying will not only help to pass the battery exam but may also help to improve their grades on each subject. This aims to: first, to be able to determine the frequency of application of techniques on studying of the respondents in terms of their attitudes towards studying, most preferred time for studying and method of information. Second, is to determine the perceived effectiveness of these techniques on studying. Last is to determine the relationship between the frequency application of the techniques on studying to its perceived effectiveness. The study was conducted within the premises of the FEU-NRMF. The respondents of the study are the Third Year Nursing Students of FEU-NRMF officially enrolled for the 2nd Semester of 2008-2009, since they are the recent passers of the Battery Examination. Two hundred one respondents are chosen Using cluster sampling, 20 or 21 students are selected to represent from each of the ten sections. It was found out there is significance in the relationship between the frequency of application of the techniques on studying to its perceived effectiveness. The respondents technically apply or use these techniques in all of their subjects since it is effective. In addition, it was also revealed that the more these techniques applied, the more these techniques are become effective and efficient.
