Abstract: Currently, people use Facebook as one of their coping strategies for handling stressful situations and maintaining their emotional health. The study offers a dedication to evaluate differences between genders as well as psychological experiences of stress and coping mechanisms. In order to provide a greater understanding on the issues mentioned in the study, the researchers specifically addresses the following questions: In Facebook settings, do men and women with depression engage problem--focused or emotion-focused coping strategies more frequently? How would it help the male and female vary what category of Facebook they would use to cope up when they are stressed? The information makes it possible for readers to connect with knowledge that is relevant to and related to the investigated to the investigation including Symptomatology of Depression, Gender Differences interrelated with Depression, Facebook-included Depression, Facebook categories (Local business, Institution, Product, Public figure, entertainment, and Community), Coping strategies (problem-focused strategies and emotional-focused strategies). The coping mechanisms of two hundred sixteen Senior High School Students from Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation were investigated in this study using an embedded sequential design. Throughout this study, the researchers conducted questionnaire and and interview. The following conclusions drawn from the study indicates that male respondents utilized both problem- and emotion-focused coping techniques, whereas female respondents tended to use problem-focused techniques more frequently. Male and female users of Facebook found stress relief in the entertainment and community categories. This study advances understanding of digital natives, clarifies self-disclosures, and makes a contribution to the field of coping studies.
