ABSTRACT: The study aimed to determine the learning styles of freshman medical students of Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation - Farview Quezon City school year 2009-2010. The specific problems were : (1) What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of gender, baccalaureate course, school where they finished their baccalaureate course, NAMAT score, GWA, and Sibling rank?., (2) What the physiological preferences (perceptual learning styles) of the respondents in terms of : auditory, visual, tactile, and kinesthetic? (3) What are the psychological preferences (hemispheric/processing learning styles) of the respondents in terms of global, analytical, imperative, and reflective? And (4) Is there a significant difference in the physiological and psychological learning styles of the respondents when they are grouped according to their profile. The study used the Building Excellence Survey Questionnaire developed by Rundle and Dunn (2000) based on the learning style theory developed by Dunn and Dunn (1989) in determining the physiological and psychological learning style preferences. The data gathered were analyzed and interpreted using the percentage, weighted mean, one-way ANOVA, and t-test for independent samples set and the .05 level of significance.
