This research used a mixed-method that involved qualitative and quantitative parts, specifically, under the explanatory sequential design. This method is utilized in this research to see how the cashless system affects people's spending habits. Because of the pandemic, the transition to a cashless society started to gain more traction. Since the start of the pandemic, the use of mobile phones to make payments rather than traditional modes of payment has increased dramatically. The researchers hope to learn more on how these cashless transactions affect the spending behavior of working young adults using the information gathered. Based on the findings summarized and the associated literature examined by the researchers, it can be inferred that the characteristics of cashless transactions have a direct influence on spending behavior. Aside from that, the researchers may draw the following conclusions: 1.) Cashless transactions are more convenient than traditional mode of payment, it makes them improve their budgetary, savings and discipline on spending. 2.) Cashless transactions make it easier to let go of the money since the psychological pain of paying experienced during spending is less than when paying through cash.
