Summary: Abstract: Emotional intelligence (EI) has a great effect on the quality of learning and application of the learned Knowledge in practices. The study is conducted with the aim to assess the emotional intelligence among the 3rd and 4th year nursing students of Far Eastern University -Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF). The data of this research were obtained through the use of a questionnaire which elicited information on the students' Emotional Intelligence level. The sample of the study consisted of (25) third year nursing students and (18) fourth year nursing students. A purposive sampling technique was adapted in this research. The collected data were analyzed using statistical tools such as: the mean, standard deviation, and Levene's Test for Equality of Variances. The results of the study revealed that female students have a higher emotional intelligence compared to the male students. It can also be concluded that the respondents of the 3rd year level have a higher level of emotional intelligence than of those in the 4th year level.
